Hi. My name is John Milner and I’d like to welcome you to my personal blog. I live and work in Washington DC and you’ll soon see how much I love the place and its people.

First – who am I? Well, I guess you could say I’m an entrepreneur. I have also founded several internet startups, including one specializing in search engine marketing another provided subscription Internet privacy services to internet users and more recently developed productivity software for BlackBerrys.

In my professional life I specialize in Merger & Acquisition finance and I’m mad about start-ups in particular. In fact, I have a keen interest in many things and you will find out a lot about those by reading my blog. You’ll find my take on business and finance, especially my passions of entrepreneurship and startups. But I’m sure I’ll talk about photography too – that’s another passion of mine!

I have always been attracted to start-ups and especially to the ideas of their management. I am pretty practical and like to see everything done right from the very beginning. I have had the chance and the honour to consult and advise on numerous start-ups, including my friend Sam’s start-up for Razume.com.
